B, SECOND NOTE OF THE SCALE / ORANGE, SECOND COLOUR OF THE RAINBOW / TUESDAY, SECOND DAY OF THE WEEK, DAY OF MARS / SVADHISTHANA, SECOND CHAKRA / THE SCENE : NEW YORK SUBWAY (B LINE) / INDIA

B is for the B-line Uptown to Brooklyn, so our journey starts underground in New York’s subway, where our homeless hero is sleeping. He finds escape through his dreams, which are of the orange hues of India. He shares his bench with another homeless man, the one Velasquez chose as the model for his portrait of the god Mars.... Yes, Tuesday is the day of war, and Mars attacks New York while Orson Welles terrorises people’s minds with The War of the Worlds. Elsewhere, the Ides of March, and Caesar meets his fate at the hands of Brutus. New Orleans marching bands parade and Prince Buster reigns over Orange Street as Alice’s March Hare watches in the ancient theatre of Orange. Ganesh brandishes a Mars bar; the prince of Orange is ready to draw his sword.  We’re not too sure if we’re allowed to follow them in their dance - the traffic lights have turned orange….
